How about calling the station where you interned and ask about making a tape. They might let you have a little time in the studio/field.
You could try to set up another internship at a station where you're living now to make tapes, just while you're looking for a job. Or even try to get an entry level off air job somewhere that will let you make tapes.
It seems like you should be able to get this done for free. |

The internship is over and they weren't real supportive as far as doing outside stuff. I was seen as too ambitious or assertive even if I stayed glue to the desk most of the time.
