the attorney what he or she charges, but you won't find out the total cost upfront. because attorneys bill by the hour, including phone time, with whomever, any any other time spent "working" on your behalf (including travel time, if it involves any, in the car too.)
It's hard to know if they've plumped up the hours to collect more $$.
