I read the article...
Emmis has hired a group into
exploring the turf for sale of it's stations.
That's really all it is.
Doesn't mean it's going to be sold this year... but it does raise some eyebrows.

Just like exploding a bomb in the stations. Announcing a sale is NOT how stations are usually sold. When it's announced, the value of the stations goes down. Advertisers retreat and also pay slower (there's a business plus for you), morale is bottom of the barrel, nothing will be spent to maintain, and expenses will be cut to make the stations look more attractive. I feel so badly for the good folks who are counting on Emmis on being professional.
