Meaning you're likely stuck!
This is the case with most contracts... the new owner assumes them and has to abide by the language in the contract. You have no say in the matter.
Some people (managers and talent) have 'loss of affiliation' caveats in their deals. which allow them to walk if a station loses network affiliation.
As far as a buyer for Emmis, chances are they've tried to shop the stations quietly... and no takers. So now, they're 'shaking the trees.'
