Get away from the Katie vs. GMA eternal mud-slinging for one moment. Robin Roberts deserves this time in the sun. She's a great addition and this is wonderful news for Robin and a smart move by ABC as Charlie begins to move on in a year or so Her ESPN days have made her a rockstar on the road. She's empathetic, warm, smart and very well-liked. You will never hear Robin Roberts trash anyone including the competition. And you will never hear she's a diva. She comes from the school of Oprah, her idol. She has class. Well deserved Robin. Yopur dad would be so proud! |

For a quick New York minute...but in that very brief meeting, she is what you see on the air...warm, engaging and confident.
ABC made this move as a pre-emptive strike against NBC keeping their hands off of her. You have your permanent guest host always in the mix and when Charles and/or Diane calls it a morning career, you have your replacement without skipping a beat.
I would watch Robin Roberts anyday over Katie Couric and that four headed disfunctional monster called "The Early Show."
I guess this means no more Sunday SportsCenter during football season huh?
