Topic Name: KRON 4 Message Name: kiddo's right Date Posted: 05/09/2005 In Reply To: Aparently they don't want to lay people off (too much severance) so they're letting people out of their contracts if they want out. They are aparently not even enforcing "no compete" clauses. The photographers are freaked....the editors are without words....and the reporters are scrambling to call their agents. Honestly they wierdest day of my career!!! Message: it's my understanding everyone in the news department is now a reporter/camera op/editor... who operates the vans? maybe they just do phone beepers for live shots with a cute graphic... no need for satellite or microwave.. well wait there is popcorn...may you live in interesting times
