If you're so concerned about spelling, you might want to check your own. Your initial post:
"Sir News Director.. if you're reading this or if someone in your newsroom in ALB happens to pass this a long to you."
That would be "along," not "a long."
Correct usage: This has been a ridiculous thread all along.
Or: You will eat crow for a long time.
