Freelancing in New York has become the same way. While it seems to be a backdoor into the market, it takes awhile to get a staff gig. Some of the stations aren't even filling positions just using "perma-lancers". It's a money thing. |

i know... it's awful. i know... i'll always be the "freelance person".
but who hires the most freelancers? who is best to approach -- the nd, ep, asst nd?
