Everyone knows that bad weather equals ratings....
It's not just that a station feels they're weather dept. is the best. People watch during bad weather.. They're inside.
Period.
When will the battle of news vs. weather end!?!?!?!

during a snowstorm or other severe weather, people can't go out.
if extended weather coverage was all it took, try doing blowout coverage of the next 100-degree heat wave that hits your market..... and see how many people are watching.
