crybabiesrus...or should I call you Russ from Orlando? Why so obvious about who you are?
The bottom line is this: WHO CARES IF YOU'RE AN ADDICT - NO ONE. No one but you and your close relations. THAT'S IT. Your ND doesn't give a crap and the one poster who said you should COME OUT about your addiction and make it an exclusive was either totally kidding or a booker for the Dr. Phil Show, who just recently got Pat O'Brien to appear and now feels like he or she has accomplished something worthwhile, when in reality...there is nothing in it for the reporter - NOTHING. Now, if you were going to check yourself in to somewhere and let cameras follow you around as you jerk, twitch, shake and crap your pants, just for the sake of ratings, well, hell, that's a different story...by all means...sell your soul. |

Do the story and don??t tell management a damn thing. Bizradio is right..these people are not your friends. They??ll use it against you come contract renewal time. You??ll say, ?? I did this and this?? and she /he will say ??Yah but you??re an admitted addict.
Come on, how many times have we all done stories that we didn??t want to do. We are reporters. but.. hell we can act with the best of them too. Like owning the copy, do some acting and sell the piece and never tell management anything that you??ll later regret.
