No matter the topic, person, place or thing, somebody is always trashing somebody.
not just brian williams pick a thread on this site at random and i guarantee at least 3/4's of the posts are negative in nature.
I think it's further evidence of the liberal bias in our industry. Afterall, the democrats our the party of doomsayers.

the kid did a very good piece on the holocaust, which is in the news because this is a special week of observance. The fact Williams knows the kid's father is irrelevant. No scandal whatsoever.
My parents were visiting San Francisco when the 89 quake hit. I didn't think twice about interviewing mom for a piece to be aired on our college radio station. No one on the paid full-time NPR-affiliated staff said anything to me about a possible conflict of interest.
I agree about Williams' somewhat forced delivery. Given Brokaw's style, which remains fodder for morning zoo shows, Jennings' Canadian
upbringing, Rather's uneasiness(Wallace and Rooney commented on it) and odd start-stop pattern of reading, one may to go back to Walter Cronkite when considering the "sitting next to you in a room" factor.
That was at least until Mr. Schieffer had a seat.
