This thread has gotten boring quick.
KOKI with alway be the bastard step-child of KJRH (look at how many ex-KJRHers are there), and that's why they compete with them more heavily. It's fun to watch bottom-feeders bite and scratch at each other when in reality, they're both crap.
In actuality, there really is no good news product in Tulsa -- but people have been watching TUL and OTV so long, they'll continue to do so. OKI is making headway because they have fresh-faced talent catering to a younger, dumber crowd, and old people who want to go to bed. JRH has no identity in any of their newscasts, let alone across the board, so nobody watches them.
And the little bell thingy was probably decided one afternoon by somebody going: "Gee. It NEEDS something here to tell people that the Problem was solved. How about a bell? Anybody got a bell? That sounds okay - put it in."

Why did KOKI take all those people from a 3rd place station? It's funny to watch those same people bash anything at 2. "Bitterman table for one!"
It will go down to the wire between KOTV and KTUL again this sweep.
