You're right... I was startled that NBC gave so much time and attention to this kid... obviously based on his 'connections.'
But Brian's done a great job in recent months.
I wouldn't toss-out the baby with the bathwater on this.

He has the most "rehearsed" delivery in any size market. He is always trying to be something. Ya know how the TV Gods alwasy preach that the best anchors speak as as if they were your friend sitting next to you? Well imagine Willaims sitting next to you, talking to you with crinkled face and trying so hard to give his voice that "anchor" tone. Dude, you can't always try to hard. Heis absolutely tough to watch,,and no where near top-dog anchor material.
