I have been assigned to do a story on an addiction that I am in recovery for. On the one hand, I know more about it than anyone. On the other, I am intimitely involved in the story. I really do not want to disclose something I consider so personal, but I also don't want to do something when there's a conflict of interest. Advice? |

And if you are not comfortable disclosing on air that you have that particular addition...you can not do that story.
Its pretty straight forward really. Its the same as ABC O&O's disclosing that they are Disney owned while their anchors are sitting in Disneyland this week.
