What I find interesting is the visceral hatred that folks have for Clinton, just 'cause he could receive heads of state as he received head. The man was a master at compartmentizing. At least the world and half the American public respected him, versus, say the world and half the American public despising him as is the case with the faux cowboy riding herd on the back of the American middle-class and working poor.
With Clinton you never worried that the State of the Union was anything but sound, unless you were a typically sexually frustrated, sanctimonious hypocritical conservative a**hat. Clinton will go down in history as average, if not a better than average president. Bush Jr. will go down as a colossal failure - likely more so after he dismantles Social Security and packs the Supreme Court with America-hating fundamentalists.
Hey, dittoheads out there - or, should I say, OXYCONTIN-lovin' hypocrites, Senator Clinton has more than an even chance of being one of your future presidents, so get out of your cave, stop whining like an castrated choirboy, and learn to get with the program.
Speaking of caves, Bush Jr. has done quite a job ongetting Osama bin Hussein - or is it Saddam bin Laden - well, Bush Jr. has done a memorable job at not getting the folks who struck us on 9-11. Thankfully we can count on the wit and wisdom of Laura "Stepford Wife" Bush's scriptwriter to sustain us.

At what point did you lose touch with reality?
It really is quite scary that someone who allegedly works in broadcast journalism can have such a warped view. Many Americans support Bush fully. More than half do not DESPISE him. Many Americans believe Clinton to be an awful president/person. There certainly was incredible worry about the State of the Union under Clinton --- just not in your little circle of the world.
The underlying principal of journalism is to speak the truth. You spew your opinion as fact regardless of its inaccuracy.
VLiberalAndDamnProudofIt, time for a career change. Maybe work for the DNC. You seem to have wholeheartedly drank their kool-aid ... and unfortunately survived the cyanide and returned for more.
Remember a fanatical liberal is just as close-minded as a fanatical conservative.
