I worked with Monica Kaufman at WSB for five years. I have been witness to Monica personally lobbying with her bosses, including the G-M, to scuttle several hard-hitting investigative pieces which cast Atlanta City officials in a bad, embarrasing light. Among these officials; former Mayors Maynard Jackson, Andy Young and Bill Campbell. Monica's clout extends far into upper management of WSB and Cox. She is a detriment to her colleagues and anyone committed to telling the truth. |

Just learn to be good journalist and not hate on one another. Be happy in the role you play in the newsroom no matter how big or small.
Monica isn't perfect no one is but I will say she cares about the product. No one can dispute the fact that for 30 years she has delivered the news (reporting, anchoring, drum major for justice) and the VIEWERS love her.
After all its what the VIEWERS think that matters.. MONICA--do ya thang!
