you haven't been offered anything yet as i understand it... you have talked with your nd, so it's not like you are hiding anything...
the person you should be upfront with is the potential employer... tell them your current contract situation... let them know about your nd being on your side, but also tell them you won't know if you can get out of your contract until you ask... and you don't need to ask until you have an offer...
and while your current market could be a place you will enjoy for a long time and make a wonderful life, it is also understood that people will fine-tune their skills and move-on... it's the nature of the business so i'll bet your gm will be okay... especially if you have been there a while now...
