WDIV has been in decline for the past few years. If there was a CBS affiliate in the market, WDIV would be last. It is a pattern of low morale, extremely bad hires, and a sense of entitlement that has brought this station down. If it was not for Carmen on the 11, it would already be over like the Sixers. |

From someone on the inside of this rat feces hole, I would say that "8mistyle" got it right on!! A news director who has steered this place into an iceberg. Speaking of icebergs, there was 3 inches of snow on the ground at the end of April. Orlando doesn't sound that bad to me. Primma Donnas galore, not to mention crappy reporters like Paula Tutman. Assignment editors and producers who literally have no clue whatsoever. Having to dodge bullets after a shooting AT THE STATION no less. The Emory King situation. Bad morale, terrible news content, and lazy, no good photographers protected by the union. Not to mention ridiculous housing prices and property taxes in the 6,500/yr. range. A top 10 market but not for much longer, BECAUSE NOBODY WANTS TO LIVE HERE.
I didn't even touch Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick and the problems he and the city of Detroit faces.
