We heard that across the street from our place the ND at The "Q" read the entire newsroom the riot act after the Runaway Bride weekend.Rumor has it that no one showed up until aftre we and 7 were already on the story?What's the deal?Is the rating war getting to the "Q"?We hear there were even threats to take way phones and cars,which makes no sense most people would say "go ahead and do that,that way you really won't be able to call me then"!There's some solid pros at the "Q" and great people there and with the lack of staff they have what would be the purpose of threats.What's the deal? |

Is this true that the news director blamed the staff? So she is not responsible? What would you do if you were the GM and the biggest national story of the month drops into your lap and your station is caught sleeping? What would you do if your old news director, the man responsible for turning around your station was, oh I don't know, let's just say caught in the middle of a major station shake up and in fear of losing his job? Wouldn't you pick up the phone and give him a call?
It seems to me if there is anyone across the street who needs to wake up its the GM. He should Hire Dan back and let Donaldson go.
