They must have had receivers on the ground that pointed at the sky to try to pick up the signals. The helicopter had video of the jumpers coming down and Ann getting lost. It could not have bounced the signals and done live video at the same time. |

You're right if it's your conventional ENG helicopter. But take, for example, an auto race. The in-car camera shots are being relayed to a helicopter above the track and relayed from there back to the ground. At one INDY car race there were 6 cars bouncing their signals from the one helicopter.
Almost anything's possible with the right amount of bucks.
Ironically, the aerial shots of that same race from the "Honda Helicam" were actually coming from a small airplane with a FLIR ultramedia camera mounted on the wing.
