This guy is about as far away from contrite as you can get.
"I deserve a second chance."
Yeah, Pat. People who are contrite and honest and don't try and spin their story, those are the people who get forgiveness in this country. Not the media-craving a-holes (of which Pat is forever ensconced, well before this little hiccup) who sit there with their talking points: "That wasn't me."
This guy won't be around for long. No second chance. No contract extension for this clown. Guaranteed.
