Ever since the Jessica Lunsford murder, we're constantly reporting sex offender stories (My station is in FL.) And now that Gov. Bush has signed the Jessica Lunsford act, it's gotten worse! We've actually plucked names from the Sex Offender Registry and confronted neighbors, just for the sake of outing these convicts. I guess I just don't think it's all that newsworthy. I mean, these guys have done their time and registered as required by law, so what's the point in rehashing the crimes? We don't do the same thing to other criminals. What do you think? Is it news?

50,000 so called "registered" sex offenders can't be found.
They're stalking kids right now.
The reason? NOT enough news about the subject.
Keep the issue squarely in the public eye, challenge legislators to actually do something about it, and you might even save an innocent child's life!
Might be worth a try.
