..from an accredited university in meteorology, earth & space sciences, etc., including the core requirements of physics, calculus, dynamic, synoptic, phyisical, and applied meteorology, IF:
you wish to qualify for employment in OR outside of TV.
OR: the Mississippi State U. two-year correspondence course, which is less rigorous but gives you the fundamentals, IF:
you wish to be called "meteorologist" on TV; chances are, you'll have trouble getting hired in private/industrial/consulting meteorology.
But then again, most MSU certificate holders are only in it for the TV work. Any exceptions? Make yourself heard.. |
