As far as spin control on Pat's end I think the guy is nuts. Maybe, maybe 15% of the country knows who the hell Pat O'Brien is and how he spectacularly flamed out. Now, thanks to some ill-conceived PR move, another 25 million Americans will know how much of a loser O'Brien is. Just one more case of a celebrity (anyone in the media is prone to this) thinking that the entire planet hangs on their every move and word. Big mistake. |

This gy has simple answers for complex problems. He fixes a lifetime of emotional buildup in a half hour. Two days later the "patient" is right back where they started. Maybe it's good TV, but it's bad psychology. It's like Dr. Laura, only not quite as obnoxious.
