The runaway bride story was a great break from the usual crap. Why would KRQE not jump on a national story that landed in their backyard? They deserved a come-to-Jesus meeting.
Just because the story was light, doesn't mean it's a crappy story. It's the water-cooler story of the week. I, personally found it totally amusing. You just can't make it up. The woman decided to take a BUS to Albuquerque! Who the hell does that? Then, she makes that ridiculous phone call. I love this stuff.
Go channel 4 and 7 for covering the story as well as they did. I saw more video and live shots from Channel 7 on CNN than anywhere else. Go Ellen!
I'm glad the previous poster prefers to get his crime coverage from 13. Who cares where you get your crappy crime coverage. The bride story was a nice vacation from all that. (although, PIO trish was still all over the air!!)

Maybe the problem isn't with the staff, but the fact this story broke in the wee hours of the morning. 7 and 4 had someone in the building watching cnn, I bet you no one was in the newsroom at 4. Put the blame where it belongs on management. Maybe its time for weekend morning show
