Here's the deal:
Miami weatherman Bill Kamal gets thrown in the slammer for prowling on the internet for young boys.
Cops catch him in a sting.. throw his ass in jail for five years.
Case closed, right?
No.
Now we learn that a competing station, WPLG has just interviewed him in the hole (pun intended) and will be airing the interview and ONE HOUR SPECIAL during sweeps!
Seems Mr. Remorse is saying he should have NEVER pleaded guilty and made a deal.. and wants to fly out of prison like the damn birds that flock in the prison yard.
Here's what REALLY burns my banana (again, pun intended), the very idea of interviewing this creep makes me vomit.. yet strangely, I'm gonna have to watch. It's like a car wreck. In theory, I should just turn away --I'm horrified by the very idea of a blatant ratings ploy, pissed as hell that Kamal is apparently showing no contrition, and yet.. I'm too tempted by my own humanity not to look.
Damn it.

... makes no sense. Isn't a ratings stunt supposed to boost the ratings of your NEWSCAST??
Maybe they think Kamal won't draw viewers. Maybe they think the scumbag will actually drive viewers away.
Wait ... this is channel 10, right? Clearly, they're just not thinking. Been that way for years.
