i got no rent control, they need to get rid of rent control once and for all, it just makes everyone else have to pick up the slack. I know tis lady who has a rent bill of $250 a month and rents her place out to another for $350. Meanwhile I pay $1700 a month to subsidize this nonsense. |

The board establishes the maximum rent increase for rent-stabilized apartments (tons of those, as opposed to "controlled"). Most (if not all) landlords will raise it as much as they're allowed to. So the story, rock star, is how much money is gonna come out of many of our pockets . No - that's not newsworthy!
