Pardon the ingorance from north of the border -- just saw a nightline piece and am confused:
1) Novak busts the cover of a CIA agent, who happens to be the wife of a Bush critic, based on confidential evidence leaked by two senior administration officials.
2) Said leak is a big no no, in these here times of war-on-terror and patriotism. Criminal in fact.
3) The President pledges: ""If there's a leak out of my administration, I want to know who it is," "If the person has violated law, that person will be taken care of.
4) Almost two years later, still no charges. Not against Novak, nor the leakers.
5) But two other reporters, who investigated, but never disclosed the name of the CIA agent, face 18 months in prison for not revealing their sources.
This is a joke, right?
