Ever since the Jessica Lunsford murder, we're constantly reporting sex offender stories (My station is in FL.) And now that Gov. Bush has signed the Jessica Lunsford act, it's gotten worse! We've actually plucked names from the Sex Offender Registry and confronted neighbors, just for the sake of outing these convicts. I guess I just don't think it's all that newsworthy. I mean, these guys have done their time and registered as required by law, so what's the point in rehashing the crimes? We don't do the same thing to other criminals. What do you think? Is it news?
