Monica Kaufman is a fraud! Monica Kaufman is the captain of the City of Atlanta's Cheerleading Squad.
Monica Kaufman can't write. Monica Kaufman can't report. Monica Kaufman doesn't ever report.
Kaufman, WSB and Cox owned Atlanta Journal are shills for the City of Atlanta. They represent the very worst of real, meaningful and responsible journalism. |

I was an EP at Channel 2 back in the late 80's, and you could not be more dead wrong. Monica is a fine writer and re-writer and is a terrific reporter when given the chance.
When Ray Charles died earlier this year, WSB put an old piece of Monica's with Ray, up on the internet. It was a wonderful piece. She's chased enough bank holdups and covered enough shootings, and certainly does not need to pay any more news. She is the most beloved news anchor I've ever seen in a modern television situation.
It is true that WSB's dominance of the rest of the market is rather amazing, something you rarely see any more. In part, they've been blessed with inept competition from Gannett and Meredith, but they've made the most of it.
