Resume wise....(to eventually move up to a top 10/20). Weekend meteorologist in a mid market (40-70), or chief in a smaller market (90-120)?
Pay is actually a little better at the weekend spot.

I've ever made. I was quite happy being a chief at a small market. Then I took this job at a top 50 Weekend Met/Reporter. And it is awful. You get crapped on from both ends. Report one day and then come in and fill-in for the Morning. You never have a set schedule, it's ipossible to have any sort of family life. And stress is high, especiallly on the news side. It's so bad I'm leaving in a week. Heck you may be getting an offfer for my job. Take the Chief job !
