so .. the spun-glass stepford wife steps out of her bubble, reads some scripted lines that she admittedly couldn't even relate to (having not watched Housewives, by her own admission) ... and this act somehow "softens up" and makes more likeable the war criminal drunk ?
all it takes is a little dog and pony show, and the real news headlines are off the front page.
oh .. wait .. they were never on the front page. the other
dingbat bride was wall-to-wall, cover to cover.

Timeoutofmind has got it right on target, although why he refers to the bunch of blind sheep who sing Lady MacBush's praise as "journalists" is a wonder to me.
I guess if it Henny Youngman was married to W, then you'd find him to be a real gas too. Take my mother, please. Tee-hee!
Imagine if this pretend scenario played out 20 years ago: Nancy "Mother Astrologer" Reagan is toasting Dutch with such witty lines as "Where's the Beef"! I'm guessing you lameasses would find that to be a real laff riot, 'cause she's REAL FOLK just like you!
Laura read her script well, which is more than I can say about her husband during his tedious and self-serving SOTUs or (thankfully) rare press conferences, like the May book - busting nonsense last Thursday. Also better than half of the on-air "talent" who write on the Watercooler, probably.
As for the gratuitous Hillary-bashing comments, I guess that Senator Clinton has heard them all before, and will probably tolerate them when she's your first female President of the United States.
