In a week where congress is told North Korea's madman might be able to nuke the west coast, we're focused on one woman who ran away from her wedding?
We have our priorities out of whack.
I could see reporting the story on national news when it looked like she might have been abducted. But frankly, when she was found safe and it was apparent this was all her doing, the story ended for me. It's now a private matter. We should be done with it but I know we'll get many more hours of national coverage on it.
Maybe if we hadn't been so busy covering Chandra Levy in the summer of 2001 some journalist would have devoted more time to covering the threat of terrorists in this country.
I wonder what other big stories we're missing because this screwed up woman is dominating the news?
