The fact that most of us are news people, combined with the fact that we still care enough to come to forums such as this to discuss our profession, make it virtually impossible to follow your suggestion.
We watch because it's who we are and what we do. We watch so that we can develop opinions and interject them into our thought processes going forward. So, because we do watch, perhaps it'll somehow make our future coverage decisions just that much better.
Besides, I occasionally watch CSPAN as well. Try and catch the annual Correspondents Dinner for a remarkable look at what a no-holds barred, relaxed atmosphere can create! |

"if you don/t like , don't watch" i wonder if they even know where they are.
THIS IS A BOARD OF PEOPLE IN THE BUSINESS WHO WANT TO DEBATE THE ISSUES IN THEIR PROFESSION.
how about this suggestion.
if you don't want to read a debate over decision-making in the tv business, don't read this board.
last time I checked, www.crapforbrains.com was still on the web.
