Imus is a radio show shown on MSNBC. They have asked him to be in their studio and due to studio issues in Astoria he finally decided to go.
Brewer is a true light weight. It was a chance for her to become a name. Her degree from Newhouse can only get her so far. She has shown that she is a news reader only. When given the opportunity to she off her brain she landed flat on her face.
Look at Imus's other NBC News guests...they know how to play Imus. And they end up shining from it. Gregory, Russert, Mitchell and O'Donnell just to name a few.
Imus' numbers are way down, but it's a business and his business is good as he is still the leading biller in the nation for ads.
Brewer should learn a tough lesson. When you play in the lions den...don't upset the beast.
Imus will be here for a lot longer time than Ms. Brewer.

No one else has had to put up with the blatant sexual harrassment and full out verbal assault that this woman has had to endure from Imus and his stooges. This has gone far beyond the banter that transpires between O'Donnell, Gregory etc.
Contessa was pushed into appearing on Imus in the first place because Amy Robach couldn't take it past a few days and she got no where near the bullshit Contessa's been subjected to. Contessa sat there day after day and took the crap and when she wouldn't give up,Imus and crew cranked it up. Contessa continued to hang in, so a frustrated Imus kicked her off the show. She pissed him off because she refused to see him as the great "I Man". This is all about the old geezer's ego. How dare anyone stand up to him? Especially a woman. Now she dares to make a comment about him to friends (if that's even the true story) and he launches and all out assault on her, calling her a slut on national tv and radio and she's to blame? She has no venue to defend herself. She can't fight back on his level.
MSNBC management is the sorriest bunch of losers ever for allowing Imus to use their air time to try to destroy the reputation of one of their anchors.
