... watching this coverage on the cable nets of the runaway bride. First, the media -- on the whole -- had us believing the worse that the husband did it in a Scott Peterson redux. Now that the girl lied, the media as a group has begun attacking her with as much venom as possible.
Guess the cable nets are just bummed thier lastest "white girl missing" story didn't turn out the way it was supposed to.
Maybe we'll even see nancy Grace do some backtracking on MOnday - thouugh I doubt it. |

This of course can't be the REAL Herb Block, and it's kind of tacky playing that race card. (And bulemia card, etc.)
It's a GREAT story, altho whether it's worth distracting time from local stories is debatable.
