Curious what other people think about this story. I understand how it is a big local story, but is it worthy of wall-to-wall coverage on the bational cable channels? |

If you've been around the broadcast media for awhile, you could probably answer that already.
Ours has become a cult of personality medium with the focus on celebrities. Don't have one available? Create one! Scott Peterson, all the missing and murdered children, and on and on. How else do O'Reilly, Greta, and the rest of them get to speculate, postulate, and pontificate??? Next!!
Take this board for example. Are there more discussions about content, or about how Katie looked trashed today? The future of journalism, or what _____________ (insert local anchor here) was arrested for, posed in, got pregnant, or had an affair?
Also, isn't it ironic that this poor woman in Atlanta bailed due to pressure, only to have her fiancee cast under suspicion, a handful of sat trucks parking in her front yard, and the nation's attention focused squarely on her?? Ouch.
