WHY IS IT THAT EVERY RATINGS PERIOD WPEC IN WEST PALM BEACH HAS TO "BUY" THEIR RATINGS AND VIEWERS JUST TO "WIN" OVER THE DOMINATE STATIONS IN THE MARKET??

You don't know the difference between the word "dominate" and "dominant."
Second Thought: Contests are nothing new. Many bigger, better stations than those in WPB employ them. So do networks. So do newspapers. So do radio stations. Contests to boost ratings or subscpription rates were here decades ago and will still be here decades from now. To whine about them is to expose your own insignificance.
