This is a great quote...straight from the web site of the Atlanta Journal Constitution...from Joe Klein, president of CNN in the USA:
""When I got here, we were doing just straight newscasts...The problem with that approach is by [midevening], the public already knows what happened. You've got to go beyond the headlines.
"That's what Fox [News] has been doing ?? discussing stories that you're already familiar with. Now we've started doing stories in our way, not just by talking about them but reporting them in greater depth."
Ah yes, CNN: wants to be like Fox.

....that morons like Klein and Walton remain employed in this business, much less as heads of a major news network.
CNN, or for that matter MSNBC, must find their own way to respectability. Emulating FNC is not the way to go. Because in a few years, the FOX/Ailes formula will grow stale with the viewing public.
Note to "Joe" Klein (LOL): find someone who is a truly good judge of on air talent before it is too late.
