...journalism never WAS simply about earning a paycheck. Not sure I'd put it quite so dramatically as you, but, yeah, journalism IS about saving the world...or at least, making a small part of it accountable. Sorry, but it's not just a job; it is a calling, and an honorable one...or at least, it's supposed to be. At least, it used to be. |

money...and still mostly abide by a code of ethics..
Ethics does not mean..not profitable.
IN fact..I contend that the more credible you are telling stories on TV..the more POWERFUL you are..and therefore the more PROFITABLE you are.
As soon as the suits figure this out...we will all be running out the brush off our J 101 books.
