Everything you say is quite possible true. But what is unequivocally is Imus nationally broadcast rant on Ms Brewer.
There is no grey area and no safe haven for Imus after that one.
So, if Page Six had it all wrong, Imus must still answer for his most distasteful commentary on Contessa.
I wonder, if Rick Kaplan needs to make amends for Imus' behavior, would he ever demand Imus apologize on-air for his words? And, would Imus actually do it?
A refusal by Imus could really create an interesting and potentially polarizing issue....and all over Ms Brewer, a young woman clearly in over her head. But whatever her talent level, she's not fair game for the characterization she was exposed to this morning. |

Page 6 has nothing to do with anything, though it did spur another round of abuse from Imus, calling Contessa a slut among other things.
You just don't abuse your fellow employees like that, especially when you're a guest in the house of another, as the Imus Show is a guest in the house of MSNBC. Unless you really get off on picking on women. Real men don't pick on or bully women.
