Anyone notice? Reporting has been managed out of the equation. In TV "news" operations from coast to coast, staffs are hyperfocused on everything from live shots to teases, but very little attention is directed toward digging up stories with meat. Anyone who's in charge--including corrupt officials--are safe. They know no TV news operation is going to invest the resources needed to find them out. Just be sure your supers are in an hour ahead of time. No, an hour and a half!
