I don't work in TV thank God...I can't afford to.
How long did it take you to get to a top 20? and how much does your agent cost? |

seven years. I felt I had talent, got a good agent (whom, by the way, takes 10% and I don't regret it), and I trusted my intuition. My agent took me to a top ten market right after my first job. Trust me, I am not rich and I don't have a trust fund. So those years of being paid nothing showed up on my credit cards. But I'm paying down my debt, have a good job, a great family, and I'm happy. At least I'm doing what I love.
I didn't get married until about two years ago, so if I had a family to support while I was in market 200, that would suck. Now, having a wife to help with the bills is pretty nice, too.
