I believe that Chuck is leaving. The history of the station is to promote from within, but for such a main position like that they may look outside the station. |

Ferrell's leaving at the end of the book. Some of the insiders have read for the position, but no announcement yet. Ferrell was hired from the outside when Luke Michaels/Moretti left in the late 90s.
The news director is a local, if that means anything, and a significant percentage of TAJ's staff has been around a while.
If they move the morning anchor, Patrich Schurr, into the slot, plan on a long time doing mornings if you go there.
