I saw Imus' tirade on Ms Brewer this morning and thought it was quite over the top.
But, I'm wondering, did calling her a 'fat slut', among other things, might just have piqued the interest of some attorney who might want to represent Brewer?
I understand, Imus and Brewer are public figures, but calling into question her character and morality, isn't that stepping over the line of what you can legally call someone in such a public forum?
In any case, the whole spectacle was great TV.
On another note with respect to the show:
While I think Bernard can be interesting and funny (from time to time), I thought his over the top presidential ass-kissing was a bit too much, a bit too early.
He was being critical of David Bloom's questioning of the President at last night's news conference. Bloom had the "temerity" to ask Mr. Bush a question that brought into question the issue of faith; that the question was 'disrespectful'.
Bravo, Bloom! You asked a question of a public servant---not the freaking King!
Bernard, the ring leader of the group making high school/juvenile sexist comments about Contessa Brewer has the corner on respect?! Give me an 'effen' break!
Bernard's double standard, not to mention his absolute lack of common sense, is amazing.
With respect to basic civility, he couldn't find his ass with both hands.
Actually, I meant byu-tocks, not ass. |

David Bloom died in Iraq. David Gregory asked the tough question of Bush.
