It amazes me the vile nature of some of these comments. If you think Alexander's good looks is what got him through you clearly do not know Peter.
He's had the same problems as Tom Brokaw did in his early career.
NBC doesn't hire pretty faces. He's had to prove himself more often than anyone else. And he's done it.
If you have seen any of his pieces from overseas you know he's solid. It takes work to get that good.. not luck and certainly not looks.
It's clear many people are jealous of Peter because he's young, good looking and above all talented. Maybe those throwing stones have a lot to learn from a young man who's now making his mark on network television.

I think his reports on The Today Show are creatively written, and succinct, plus he always seems at ease on camera.
I have met him, but just briefly and he was anything but vacant, or egotistical, just my two cents.
