First day of sweeps and the late news lead in is a rerun! |

Without A Trace was a rerun for a very simple reason.
It was preempted in the East/Central because of the President's speech and Q&A.
Network sent down a rerun so that those in the Mountain/Pacific timezones could fill an hour, leading to their late news.
Would it be fair or prudent to permit Mountain/Pacific stations to air a NEW episode of W-A-T while those stations in the East/Central timezones couldn't?
Not only would it skew any book of having it thrown out, but would be logistically a headache.
Think about it.
No one was screwed by CBS.
