KHQ and KREM did the best job.
For the first part of the standoff KXLY had no live shot. Just an anchor in the studio and a map. KHQ had the first live shot at 2 locations. Krem was up shortly after with one location. Still no KXLY. 6 and 2 both did a good job. But KREM was the only station that night with video shot by the neighbor that showed the action up close. Might be draw

I hear the cops were VERY upset with KREM's coverage... for showing the SWAT team staging, marksmen locations, etc. Rumos has it, they even came to the station to let them know how unhappy they were.
Curious - what happened? And, what did that home video add to the story of some schmuck who wanted to kill himself?
