Sobe is the most over-rated, over-hyped place on the planet.
There is a big difference between class and cheese, and Miami is about as cheesey as cities come. Yes, there is plenty of eye candy, but it's a freak show. People are flying on drugs. All the so-called "pretty people" are injected with plastic. The place is crawling with wanna-bes. The dudes are all machismo asses looking to get laid. The chics are only interested in talking if you have cash hanging out of your pockets. It costs 20-50 bucks to just walk into a club. A beer is 10 bucks, a drink 20. And you'll pay another 20 to park. Sobe is for the socially delusional. If you want to have a nice dinner surrounded by normal, well-adjusted people who have actual jobs and lives...head to Las Olas in Ft. Lauderdale.
