Scott is a physically and personally repulsive dude. He's white trash, a wife beater, has a major attitude problem, and moreover, CANNOT sing. He is consistantly flat.
This is all kinda funny because when AI first started four years ago, I thought the whole thing was stupid. Now I never miss it, like 35 million other Americans.
Here's the bottom line: people love a good competition - joke if you want - but these young people have guts, heart and soul....and that IS the definition of being American.

it is not ... NOT ... a singing competition. it is about picking a pop star.
if being a pop star required you to actually sing the Ashley Simpson would never have gone platinum.
image is everything ... and Scotty has an image that people seem to like ... after all he was in the TOP 3 not bottom 3 and has been consistantly giving his audience what it wants.
and by the way ... I am not joking in my evaluation of the voting blocks and how they could play out.Scotty has solid street cred ... working poor parents, arrests, kid out of wedlock ... all appealing to a specific voting block.
besides ... does America need another pudgy blonde so-so country singer? throw a stone down any Nashville street and you will hit 3.
